Why digital plays such a crucial role in business today?

Digital is a very diverse subject changing the way we do business from operations to marketing. All functions are benefiting from the advancement of digital. How I see it, digital is allowing us to meet the rapidly changing consumers’ needs, offer more personalization, better experiences, and for us to be truly customer-centric and finally build stronger relationships with our consumers. Even more nowadays, when we are witnessing the disappearance of the borders between offline and online, we see the shift in how products are being chosen and discovered, how the brand preferences are formed, the way we shop… all are now more digital than ever. On top of that, digital has given us the possibility to harness data, which is the key to success, allowing us to take informed business decisions in all our actions. To put it simply, digital is not playing a crucial role in today’s business, it’s the force leading the business transformation.

Was digital your passion since the very beginning?

Indeed, digital for me has been a fascinating subject for quite some time. It’s continuously advancing, changing, not only the way we do business but also how we operate on a personal level and far beyond that. While in Baltics I was fortunate to join Active Cosmetics Division for a marketing role that allowed me to also work on digital topics and with time devoting myself more and more to digital and e-commerce projects.

After 2 years in Baltics, I moved to Poland and embraced a role fully dedicated to digital. During that time, I had the pleasure to see digital in action on a large scale, witness its positive impact, and work on new technologies powered by Artificial Intelligence. It is truly extraordinary to see how far we have come. And this is where the fascination turned into a passion.

What to expect from working in the digital team at L’Oréal?

At L’Oréal, digital is at the heart of the business and as a company, we really are at the forefront of the digital evolution. You really feel it in your daily work which itself is being transformed thanks to digital. Being a part of the digital team at L’Oréal Poland&Baltic means working on super interesting projects and tools: from campaigns to AI and technological innovations.
